Calling all community groups, artists and performers – event submissions are now open for Refugee Festival Scotland 2022!

The festival will run from 17-26 June and this year the theme is storytelling. Everyone has a story to tell and there are so many ways to share yours: through music, dance, theatre and film to cookery, visual art, and conversation.

Could you hold an event and help make this our biggest and best festival yet? The deadline for event submissions is Sunday, 20 March.

A festival for everyone

Anyone can take part in Refugee Festival Scotland. If you’ve got an idea for an event or activity that showcases refugee arts and culture, or brings people from different backgrounds together, we’d love to hear from you.

Your event can take any form – an exhibition, puppet show, poetry reading, sing-a-long or family friendly picnic – so long as it’s open to the public. This is a festival for everyone.

Community groups and organisations can apply for a small grant of up to £500 to help cover the cost of running an event. The deadline for funding submissions is Sunday, 6 March. Find out more here.
