Volunteer

We are not recruiting volunteers at the moment, but please keep an eye on this page towards the end of summer for new opportunities.

If you have any questions, please email us at volunteering@scottishrefugeecouncil.org.uk or call us at 0141 248 9799.

Are you an asylum seeker or a refugee?

If you are interested in finding out about volunteering in charities (other than Scottish Refugee Council) in Glasgow, you can attend one of our monthly Volunteering Information Afternoons to find out about volunteering opportunities. This information session is held on the last Thursday of every month (except December) and is open to asylum seekers and refugees only, at all stages of the asylum process.

Volunteering is rewarding and allows you to use existing abilities and knowledge or acquire completely new skills. Volunteering also means you can be part of a working environment, even if you do not have permission to work at the moment.

We will present to you the services of Volunteer Glasgow and explain how you can use their website to search for opportunities. Representatives from some Glasgow-based charities will also be attending to promote volunteering opportunities within their organisations.

Interested?

Attendance is by registration only. If you would like to attend, contact us at volunteering@scottishrefugeecouncil.org.uk or 0141 248 9799.
