What is happening at the moment in Afghanistan is shocking to all of us and people who need protection have the right to find safety in another country. This can bring up certain questions as how do they get here, and what assistance do they receive when they get here, and how can we support them to integrate and settle in? The UK already has a legal route for people to find safety through the Afghan Relocations and Assistance Policy (ARAP) and the Afghan Citizens Resettlement Scheme (ACRS). This course will help you to understand the challenges that people face when they are relocated to the UK.
Drawing on our experience of working with people who have already sought safety in the UK from Afghanistan and the lessons learned from the Vulnerable Persons Resettlement Scheme, this course examines what opportunities exist for rebuilding their lives here in the UK, and the approach and the practice framework that supports people to get settled in quickly.
This training is suitable for a wide range of practitioners and managers from the statutory and third sector who are involved in providing integration support. The course caters both for professionals providing holistic integration support and for those providing support in a specific area such as housing, health, welfare, social care, education, employability or social integration.
This course is available to commission by Public Bodies, Local Authorities and Voluntary Sector Organisations. If you would like to find out more please email firstname.lastname@example.org
