Refugee Festival Scotland 2019 will launch on World Refugee Day – 20th June

Join us in the heart of Glasgow to celebrate the launch of Refugee Festival Scotland 2019 and mark World Refugee Day. We’ll be showing solidarity and support for people who’ve been forced to flee their homes at the site of Manaf Halbouni’s public sculpture Rubble Theatre, a highlight of this year’s festival.

Refugee Festival Scotland honours the resilience and courage it takes to build a home in insecure and precarious circumstances. By sharing in the festival’s celebrations you can join a movement that rejects attempts to make people feel like outsiders and to sow division among us.

We’ll be hearing from Manaf Halbouni and Musicians in Exile alongside activists who have made their home in Scotland. Stand with us in solidarity, welcome and friendship.

This event is outdoors and wheelchair accessible, and is open for all to attend. St Enoch Square, Glasgow G1 4BW
