Aaliya manages Airdrie Citizens Advice Bureau. She has over sixteen years of senior management experience in voluntary sector organisations and sound knowledge of financial management, human resources and fundraising. Aaliya gained considerable experience of immigration, asylum and human rights law whilst working with Ethnic Minorities Law Centre. She gained international experience with the Immigration Advisory Service, managing performance, quality assurance and financial auditing for their International Offices in Pakistan and Bangladesh.
Aaliya is a Committee Member of the Big Lottery Fund Scotland Committee and a member of Citizens Advice Scotland’s, Development Committee and Legal Services Group. She is passionate about the positive difference the voluntary sector has on communities and is a Trustee of local and national charities.
