Refugee Festival Scotland 2017 – Programme Launch!

Every year Refugee Festival Scotland (20 June – 2 July) celebrates the contribution refugees make to our rich and vibrant communities in Scotland, and recognises the welcome offered by local people.

This year our theme CONNECT celebrates our commonality and encourages people and communities to connect with each other as neighbours, friends and colleagues.

Now in its 17th year, Refugee Festival Scotland brings communities together across the country, through food, art, music and shared experiences.

With more than 100 events spanning the length and breadth of Scotland, our 2017 programme is brimming with exciting and insightful ways to get involved.

With family days, music and dance, theatre performances, art exhibitions… and lots of food and drink – there really is something for everyone!  See the full RFS 2017 Programme (link) for more details.

Programme Picks

With so many amazing events, it’s difficult to choose what to mention in our programme picks, but here are just a few Highlights (Link) to get you started!

Fancy a pre-festival cuppa?

If you just can’t wait for the festivities to begin, join us for our pre-festival event in Glasgow on Saturday 17 June.  You, Me and a Cup of Tea is an event to bring together Scots and visitors from all walks of life, is the perfect prelude to RFS 2017 (link), and will be part of the Great Get Together in memory of Jo Cox.
