New Scots Integration Networks
We coordinate six New Scots Integration Networks around the country and play and active role in 19 others.
These networks bring refugee-led groups, charities, local councils, healthcare and service providers together on a regular basis to connect, share information and learn from each other.
If you would like to find out more about joining your local network or setting up a new network in your region, please email communities@scottishrefugeecouncil.org.uk
New Scots Leadership Programme
Since 2021, we have been working in partnership with Social Enterprise Academy to deliver the New Scots Leadership Programme for refugees and people seeking asylum.
The six-month course empowers people to harness their existing skills, make connections and gain new insights to help them build strong communities with other refugees in Scotland.
More than 50 leaders have graduated from the programme to date, with many going on to complete a Certificate in Leadership qualification.
Building on this success, we’re collaborating with Social Enterprise Academy to provide opportunities for New Scots in Aberdeen, Inverclyde and the Highlands to make connections, gain new skills and boost their confidence.
