Saleem, arrived in Scotland when he was 18. He is now studying an HNC in Cyber Security at college, and is working in retail in Glasgow.

“When I arrived in Scotland I was 18 years old. There is a large Bajuni community in Glasgow, and I thought at first I would just stick with them as we are from the same place. Then I met Tommy at Scottish Refugee Council who asked me what I want to do with my future, and who helped me get from where I was to where I am now. He asked me what skills I have and he took me to Cranhill Development Trust.

“This is where my life began to change from nothing into something.

“I studied an NC in Computing and Digital Media, and am now studying Cyber Security. My hope is now to go to university, get a job and work hard. Scotland is home now.
