Refugee Employment Toolkit
With funding from the Scottish Government, Scottish Refugee Council has produced a toolkit to assist refugees in accessing employment. The kit contains information, guidance, useful links and working templates, to help readers better understand the UK labour market. Fair Play - Refugee and Asylum Seekers in Scotland: A guide for journalists
The media has a major role to play in our multi-cultural society. It also has certain duties in ensuring responsible reporting on issues of ayslum, refugees and immigration. In collaboration with Scottish Refugee Council, Amnesty International and NUJ, Oxfam has produced a guide to enable journalists to cover the subject in a balanced and truthful manner. Welcome X 100,000 - A Guide for Unaccompanied Asylum Seeking Children (October 2006)
Scottish Refugee Council in conjucntion with The Big Step, Glasgow Community Planning and The Scottish Government have produced a new guide for children arriving in Scotland on their own to claim asylum. The guide aims to explain the asylum system in simple language as well as give children information on their rights and life in Scotland. There is currently an estimated 200 such young people living in Scotland and our hope is that the pack will provide some support during a very difficult time. - developing European resettlement activities
- creating fairer and more efficient asylum systems in Europe
- improving refugee integration.

As part of Refugee Week 2003 Scottish Refugee Council published a book in which Glasgow based artist and refugee Saad Hirri told of his experiences in Saddam Hussein's torture chambers. The book is is also illustrated by Saad Hirri's striking paintings.
