Coordinated by Scottish Refugee Council, Refugee Festival Scotland is an annual Scotland-wide programme of arts, cultural, educational, heritage and sport events that brings refugee and local communities together and celebrates the contribution refugees make to life in Scotland and the welcome offered by local people.

This Year

It is the Year of Young People in Scotland. This year, Refugee Festival Scotland will celebrate the talents and potential of young people from the refugee community. The festival will provide a platform for them to claim their own identity and share their hopes and dreams for the future.

But we don’t want to leave anyone out. So we are also looking to the generations of refugees who have settled in Scotland, to share reflective stories of their experiences and cultural practices as young people.

Anyone can get involved by organising an event for Refugee Festival Scotland. We encourage all kinds of activities - performances, films, club nights, discussions, gigs, exhibitions, workshops, food fayres, themed walks, sports and more.

Please submit your completed form by Monday 12 March, 12pm
