Refugee Festival Scotland 2017. We did it!

From the highlands to the borders, the east coast to the west, this year’s Refugee Festival Scotland has been a true celebration.

To everyone who took part this year - our amazing volunteers and supporters, the dedicated community groups, organisations and schools across Scotland, the artists, the speakers and every single person who attended an event - THANK YOU.  Your energy, passion and commitment is inspiring.

This year, with your help, we connected with local and refugee community groups across Scotland, to celebrate the contribution refugees make to Scotland’s cultural life.  With ceilidhs, choirs, cinema yurts, poetry, art, storytelling, a coffee ceremony…. and LOTS of amazing food, we really did squeeze a lot in.
