Advice and support for Refugees

Our RIS team offers a 12 month programme to people who have been granted Refugee Status or Humanitarian Protection, Discretionary Leave to Remain or Indefinite Leave to Remain following an asylum claim. The programme covers:

  • an advice and support service, offering help in addressing initial critical needs such as housing, education and access to benefits;
  • links you to employability options to help you enter long-term employment at the earliest opportunity.

Want to participate in our RIS programme?

You can refer yourself to the programme if you are a new refugee and have not been referred by anyone else.

If you meet the following conditions, please come to our office to see one of our advisers:

  • You have been granted leave to remain following an asylum claim.
  • You are currently living in Scotland.
