Finding a job once you have Refugee status

If you are not part of our RIES programme, we cannot offer specialised advice about employment or benefits.

However, we have produced an Employment Toolkit (4.3Mb, PDF). The guide contains information, guidance and useful links that will help you understand the UK job market. It also includes an action plan for you to follow. We produced this guide with funding from the Scottish Government.

We have also produced the guide Dignity and Fairness (2.4Mb, PDF), which outlines employment rights and accompanying responsibilities in the workplace. We produced this guide in partnership with the Black and Ethnic Minority Infrastructure in Scotland (BEMIS) and the Scottish Trade Union Congress (STUC).
