I am under 18 and on my own

We understand that being in a new place on your own is terrifying so we would like to help

If you are under 18 and have been separated from your family, you will be appointed to someone called a ‘guardian’ who will ensure you have all of the information and support you require while going through the complex asylum process. This programme is called the Scottish Guardianship Service.

Our Age Assessment Information guide (PDF) provides young people with common questions and answers about age assessment.

Information pack for young people

Our online information pack for young people in Glasgow provides helpful information about the asylum process, your rights, highlights people and organisations that can help you throughout the process and more.

It is available chapter-by-chapter in English, Farsi, French, Pashto and Somali.
